The full maintenance visit your vehicle calls for, done with Mopar parts and recorded against your vehicle.
Scheduled maintenance is mostly about looking: at brakes, fluids, filters and the underbody, before something small gets expensive.
Quick answer: Terrace Chrysler performs scheduled maintenance on every Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep and Ram: oil and filter, tire rotation, air filters, fluid checks and replacements, and inspections of brakes, steering, suspension and driveline, with Mopar parts. Book online, by text or at 250-635-7187, Monday to Friday.
The oil your engine is specified for and a Mopar filter, when the oil change indicator calls for it.
Rotated to keep wear even, which matters for 4x4 and all-wheel-drive systems.
Engine air filter and cabin air filter checked and replaced on schedule, sooner on gravel.
Coolant, brake fluid, transmission, transfer case and axle fluids checked, and replaced when they are due.
Pads, rotors, lines, ball joints, tie rods and shocks inspected with the vehicle on the hoist.
Checked for leaks, damage and corrosion from salt and gravel.
Most current Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep and Ram vehicles use an oil change indicator to tell you when service is due, and the owner's manual sets out what to do at each visit. As a rule, plan on a visit whenever the indicator comes on, and at least once a year.
The schedule has two versions. The normal schedule assumes mostly paved, moderate driving. The severe service schedule is for towing, heavy loads, dusty or gravel roads, off-road use, lots of idling and extreme cold. Most trucks and Jeeps in the Skeena Valley should be on the severe schedule. Your service advisor can tell you which one fits.
Towing shortens nearly every interval: oil, transmission fluid, axle fluid and brakes. It also puts extra wear on hitch wiring and the trailer brake connection. Let us know if you tow when you book.
Transfer case and axle fluids, U-joints, CV boots and front-end parts need regular attention, and more after off-road or deep-water use. Our 4x4 and drivetrain service page covers it in detail.
A Wrangler 4xe or Grand Cherokee 4xe still has a gas engine that needs oil and filters, plus cooling systems for the high-voltage battery and electronics. The engine may run less often, but it still needs regular service.
A Pacifica, Grand Caravan or Durango that mostly does school runs and short trips around town is doing the kind of driving that is hardest on oil and batteries. Stay on schedule even at low kilometres.
Road salt and sand on Highway 16 and Highway 37 attack brake lines, fuel lines and the underbody. Gravel roads and logging roads fill air filters and chip away at undercoating. Long, cold winters mean months of cold starts and short trips.
None of that means extra work for its own sake. It means the inspections on the schedule matter more here. A good habit is a maintenance visit timed with each seasonal tire swap, so the vehicle is already on the hoist.
